Siegfried Wagner, geboren in 1869, was een invloedrijke Duitse componist en dirigent, bekend als de enige zoon van de legendarische Richard Wagner en Cosima, dochter van Franz Liszt. Na de dood van zijn vader op jonge leeftijd, volgde Siegfried in diens voetsporen en werd een belangrijke figuur in de wereld van de opera.
