Dit album biedt een prachtige verzameling van twee vroege operettes van de beroemde componist Arthur Sullivan. "Cox and Box" en "Trial by Jury" zijn beide meesterwerken die de unieke vaardigheden van Sullivan in het genre van de komische opera laten zien. De opnames, onder leiding van de talentvolle dirigent Richard Hickox, worden briljant tot leven gebracht door een sterrenbezetting van zangers, waaronder tenor James Gilchrist en bariton Neal Davies.
"Cox and Box" is een humoristische verhaallijn over twee mannen die een kamer delen en de komische verwarring die ontstaat wanneer ze proberen hun slaaproutine te coördineren.
