Bengt Hallberg, geboren op 13 september 1932 in Göteborg en overleden op 2 juli 2013 in Uppsala, was een van de meest invloedrijke jazzpianisten in de geschiedenis van de Zweedse jazz. Met zijn unieke stijl, die varieerde van cool jazz tot hard bop, veroverde Hallberg de harten van jazzliefhebbers over de hele wereld. Als pianist, componist en arrangeur bracht hij een rijke collectie van albums uit, waaronder 'Live At Jazzens Museum' uit 2011. Zijn muziek, die vaak beschreven wordt als een mix van jazz en Zweedse ballads, biedt een diepgaande en emotionele ervaring die nog steeds vele jaren na zijn overlijden genoten kan worden.
