    Sergio Bardotti, geboren in 1939 in Pavia en overleden in 2007 in Rome, was een van de meest invloedrijke figuren in de Italiaanse muziekwereld. Als tekstschrijver, componist en platenproducent heeft hij een onuitwisbare stempel gedrukt op de muziek van de jaren zestig en daarbuiten. Bardotti werkte samen met tal van bekende artiesten, zoals Sergio Endrigo, Lucio Dalla, Chico Buarque en Anna Oxa, en zijn liedjes werden wereldwijd bekroond. Zijn talent voor het schrijven van poëtische en betekenisvolle teksten, samen met zijn diepgaande kennis van taal en muziek, maakte hem tot een unieke stem in de muziekwereld.
