Ivan Jevtić is een gevierd componist, geboren in 1947 in Belgrado, Joegoslavië, die nu voornamelijk in Frankrijk werkt. Zijn muziek omvat een breed scala aan genres, van kamermuziek tot symfonische werken, en hij heeft meer dan 110 composities op zijn naam staan. Jevtić studeerde compositie aan de Muziekacademie van Belgrado onder de begeleiding van Stanojlo Rajičić, en vervolgde zijn opleiding bij Alfred Uhl en de legendarische Olivier Messiaen. Zijn werk is wereldwijd uitgevoerd en gepubliceerd, en hij is lid van de Servische Academie van Wetenschappen en Kunsten.
