Deze opname van het Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama Wind Orchestra biedt een prachtige collectie van symfonische werken van de Amerikaanse-Armeense componist Alan Hovhaness. Het album, uitgebracht op 15 november 2005 door Naxos, omvat drie complete symfonieën: Symfonie Nr. 4, Op. 165; Symfonie Nr. 20, Op. 223, ook bekend als "3 Journeys to a Holy Mountain"; en Symfonie Nr. 53, Op. 377, getiteld "Star Dawn". Daarnaast bevat het album ook twee werken uit Hovhaness' religieuze composities: "Return and Rebuild the Desolate Places" en "Prayer of St. Gregory".
