Guillaume Connesson, geboren in 1970 in Boulogne-Billancourt, is een van de meest uitgevoerde Franse componisten ter wereld. Zijn werk omvat een breed scala aan genres, waaronder symfonische muziek, concertante muziek, opera, kamermuziek, vocale muziek en koormuziek.
