"Graupner: The Seven Words of Christ on the Cross" is een meeslepende en diepgaande verzameling van cantates gecomponeerd door Christoph Graupner. Dit dubbelalbum, uitgebracht op 13 maart 2012 door ANALEKTA, biedt een unieke kijk op de zeven laatste woorden van Christus aan het kruis, vertolkt door de meesterlijke hand van Graupner en de tekstschrijver Johann Conrad Lichtenberg. De cantates, die vanaf de eerste zondag in de vasten, Invocabit, beginnen, zijn een meeslepende en diepgaande interpretatie van een van de meest betekenisvolle momenten in de christelijke traditie.
Met een totale speeltijd van ruim twee uur en vijf minuten, biedt dit album een uitgebreide en gedetailleerde kijk op Graupners meesterlijke composities.
