Benny Andersson, geboren als Göran Bror Benny Andersson op 16 december 1946 in Vällingby, Zweden, is een legendarische muzikant, componist en producer die wereldwijd bekend is als lid van de iconische popgroep ABBA. Samen met Björn Ulvaeus vormde hij het krachtige songwritersduo achter de meest geliefde ABBA-hits. Naast zijn werk met ABBA heeft Andersson ook een indrukwekkende carrière buiten de band, met bijdragen aan musicals zoals Chess, Kristina från Duvemåla en Mamma Mia!, waarvan hij ook de filmadaptaties produceerde.
