Marco Tamburini, geboren in Cesena in 1959, was een buitengewoon veelzijdige Italiaanse jazz-trompettist en componist. Zijn carrière begon in de jaren tachtig, waarna hij snel een vaste waarde werd in de Italiaanse jazzscene. Tamburini werkte samen met grote namen zoals Guido Manusardi, Phil Woods, Claudio Fasoli, Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu, en zelfs Luciano Pavarotti. Zijn virtuositeit op de trompet en bugel maakte hem een geliefde gast bij internationale jazzfestivals en concerten. Tamburini was niet alleen een briljante muzikant, maar ook een inspirerende organisator, zoals blijkt uit zijn initiatieven zoals de "Jazz Nights at Casalini's Garden" in Rovigo. Zijn muziek, te vinden op platforms zoals Spotify en Apple Music, blijft een inspiratiebron voor jazzliefhebbers over de hele wereld.
