Eduardo Fernández is een vooraanstaande klassieke gitarist, geboren in 1952 in Uruguay. Met een carrière die meer dan vijf decennia omvat, heeft Fernández zich onderscheiden door zijn diepgaande, rijpe en unieke interpretaties, waardoor hij wordt beschouwd als een van de beste gitaristen van zijn generatie. Zijn muzikale reis begon op jonge leeftijd, toen hij op zevenjarige leeftijd zijn studies op de gitaar begon.

Fernández heeft prijzen gewonnen op prestigieuze concoursen, zoals het Porto Alegre-concours in 1972 en het Radio France-concours in 1975, wat zijn talent en toewijding aan zijn ambacht onderstreept.
