"Dufay: Rondeaux" is een meesterwerk van Noël Akchoté, een veelzijdige Franse gitarist, componist en acteur, die met deze release een unieke interpretatie biedt van de werken van de pre-Renaissance componist Guillaume Dufay. Het album, dat op 20 september 2024 uitkomt onder Akchoté's eigen label, brengt de middeleeuwse muziek van Dufay tot leven met een moderne, gitaristische draai.
Met een speeltijd van 58 minuten omvat het album 28 tracks, elk zorgvuldig gearrangeerd voor gitaar door Akchoté. De nummers, waaronder "Je languis en piteux martire", "Bon jour, bon mois et bonne estraine" en "Malheureux cueur", laten de diepte en schoonheid van Dufay's composities zien, verrijkt door Akchoté's unieke stijl en techniek.
