Henri Texier is een legendarische Franse jazzcontrabassist en componist, geboren op 27 januari 1945 in Parijs. Zijn muzikale carrière begon op vijftiende als pianist in de nachtclubs van Parijs, waarna hij snel overstapte op de contrabas. Met zijn warme en verhalende klank heeft Texier zich een naam gemaakt in de jazzwereld. Sinds zijn debuut in 1962 heeft hij samengewerkt met vele prominente musici, zoals Jean-Luc Ponty en Jean-Louis Chautemps.
